Maggie's Snowdon Night Hike
Take on the challenge of hiking the highest mountain in Wales by moonlight! Sitting high above the Llanberis Pass and surrounded by the magnificent scenery of the Snowdonia National Park it’s easy to see why Snowdon is often referred to as “the jewel of Wales”! Popular with rock climbers and walkers alike, many people climb Snowdon each year, but very few will climb it in the dark! Taking place on Saturday 9 June 2012 we’ll be setting off with professional guides at 11pm from the foot of the mountain to reach the summit after midnight and descend as dawn breaks. You will be welcomed at the finish with a T-shirt, medal, and certificate and most importantly of all a well deserved hot cup of tea and bacon roll or porridge!
